BOISE-- The Boise State University (BSU) Cultural Center will celebrate the legacy
of Cesar Chavez with events March 20 to 24. All events are free and open to the public.
A Student Farm Worker Exhibit is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 20 at the
Student Union Cultural Center. The exhibit will feature works created by BSU students.

A renaming and dedication ceremony for Cesar Chavez Lane will be held at noon March
20 at the Eternal Wind sculpture between the Business Building and Albertson Library.
The play "La Causa" is scheduled at 1 p.m. on March 21 at the Student Union Special
Events Center. This interactive play will be presented by the performance troupe
Living Voices and focuses on the farm worker struggle in America. The play features
a young woman who must balance the demands of her family and culture while at the same time
trying to break free from her working conditions. La Causa is not only a story of
Mexican Americans but all Latino and immigrant Americans, east and west.
The film "The Fight in the Fields: Cesar Chavez and the Farmworkers' Struggle" is
scheduled at 5 p.m. on March 22 at the Student Union Cultural Center. This film documents
the history of the agricultural labor movement through a biographical portrait of
Chavez.
A session on "Legal Rights for Documented, Undocumented and Naturally Born Citizens"
is scheduled at 6 p.m. on March 23 at the Student Union Bishop Barnwell Room. Visit

BOISE- El Centro Cultural de la Universidad Estatal en Boise (BSU) celebrará el legado
de César Chávez con eventos del 20 al 24 de marzo. Todos los eventos son gratis y
abiertos al público.
Una exhibición estudiantil de trabajadores agrícolas está programada de 8 a.m. a 6
p.m. el 20 de marzo en el Centro Cultural de la Unión de Estudiantes. La exhibición

Una ceremonia para renombrar y dedicar el sendero César Chávez Lane se llevará a cabo
al mediodía el 20 de marzo en la escultura Eternal Wind entre el Edificio de Negocios
y la Biblioteca Albertson.
La obra "La Causa" está programada a la 1 p.m. el 21 de marzo en el Centro de Eventos
Especiales de la Unión de Estudiantes. Esta obra interactiva será presentada por
el grupo de teatro "Living Voices" y se enfoca en los esfuerzos de trabajadores agrícolas en América. La obra tiene como protagonista a una joven que debe balancear las demandas
de su familia y cultura al mismo tiempo que trata de liberarse de sus condiciones
laborales.
La película "La Lucha en los Campos: La Lucha de César Chávez y los Trabajadores Agrícolas"
está programada a las 5 p.m. el 22 de marzo en el Centro Cultural de la Unión de
Estudiantes. Esta película documenta la historia del movimiento laboral agrícola
por un retrato biográfico de Chávez.
Una sesión sobre "Derechos Legales para los Documentados, los Indocumentados y los
Ciudadanos Naturales" está programada a las 6 p.m. el 23 de marzo en el salón Bishop
